AUGUST - Floral Silk Dying Workshop

Join us for a unique and inspiring creative workshop with Olivia from Suspended in Sunbeam and Charlotte from The Leicestershire Flower Farm.

This immersive experience blends botanical exploration, silk painting, and flower arranging, offering a truly memorable day surrounded by nature and creativity.

What to expect:

We begin the workshop with Olivia guiding you through loose sketches and expressive studies of flowers, helping you understand their natural form, lines, and movement.

You’ll then create your own designs by painting silk scarves using a special invisible paint, inspired by your floral sketches.

While your scarves dry, Charlotte will take you on a guided tour of the flower farm, where you’ll have the opportunity to handpick a beautiful selection of fresh, locally grown flowers and foliage.

After the tour, Olivia will lead you through the magical process of dyeing your silk scarves. Watch as your painted designs are revealed when they come into contact with colour.

Meanwhile, Charlotte will teach you how to create a hand-tied bouquet using the flowers you gathered earlier, giving you a second beautiful floral creation to take home.

Outcome: A hand-tied seasonal bouquet and a uniquely hand-printed silk scarf.

Enjoy a selection of light refreshments throughout the workshop to keep you energised and inspired.
